Do you need some ideas for a location for your photography Session? Below are some galleries that will show you some different location ideas. If you have a location in mind that is not listed, that's fine. I am always up for an adventure.
Harlinsdale Farms
This location offers many opportunities. There are historic barns, a pond, access to the Harpeth River, and a white house with a beautiful porch. There is also a lot of land with wide open spaces.
There is a downside to this popular place. It can be a little busy depending on the day and time of year. However, I have always had luck working around other people and still getting some amazing images.
The Majestic Allée Steps
at Waner Park
This location is a favorite. The sun always comes from behind the steps, making it a place with no lousy lighting, no matter when you go. It is another location that can get busy, but parking always works itself out. The people are continuously rotating in and out. This is a big hill so I do not recommend this location if you have someone in your group that has trouble getting around.
Marcella Vivrette Smith Park
This is a local favorite in Brentwood. It's a VERY popular location, and for good reason. It's convenient, has big gorgeous trees, and has beautiful lighting.
In the fall, these trees have all the beautiful fall colors you would want.
Winstead Hill Park
This is a quiet location with paved walkways and tons of trees.
Downtown Franklin
Living in Franklin for as long as I have, it's hard not to get excited about having a session here. It has a great urban feel with some historic buildings. If you want this location for your session, please know that the best time to go would be on Sunday first thing in the morning, which would be around 6-7 a.m., depending on the time of year. Not many people are out at this time of day, and we would have the run of the place. We can go at other times; just be prepared to have many people around.
South 40
This family-owned farm encompasses 40 sweeping, picturesque acres off I-840 and I-65 south of Franklin. Renting this location costs $75 per hour. You can find out more on their website or on their Instagram page. This is a beautiful location with lots of options.
Ellington Agricultural Center
It's a beautiful location with lots of options. With an open field, white fences, and a lovely arch walkway, you will have lots of options in your gallery with this location. This location is located on a big hill. We would need to drive from one part of the property to another, but it is all close together.
